Life skills are defined as “a group of psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills that help people make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Life skills may be directed toward personal actions or actions toward others, as well as toward actions to change the surrounding environment to make it conducive to health.”

This workshop was conducted for all courses of  I &II Semesters students of all UG courses. Resource persons for the workshop are Dr.Shobitha shantha kumari principal of Global School of counseling and Mr.Gaurav Dalal  Assistant professor of Global School of Counselling.

 

Many group activities like chart work, Roleplay, Removing the knot etc.. were conducted to draw out innate abilities hidden in the students. Each life skill was demonstrated with an activity. The group activities and also individual expressions synchronized very well in the process of learning… The motivational talks by the experts added more color to the workshop. practical talk on stress management helped all the students to learn a few techniques of stress management.  It was a good beginning to the new academic year with a refreshing and educative workshop.
